JEPT Afd4 Series Advanced Vortex Flow Meter for Liquid Applications

The AFD4 series is a water flow sensor based on the Karman vortexprinciple. Under certain conditions, when a fluid with a certain volume flowflows around the spoiler, two linear vortices with opposite rotation direc-tion and regular arrangement will periodically form on both sides of thespoiler column, forming Karman vortex street. Sensors measure the flow ofliquid through the pipe by sensing how fast or slow the vortex is flowingthrough the internal chip. With long service life, resistance to contamina-tion, high accuracy, fast response and no drift, the sensors are ideal for de-manding and cost-sensitive OEM applications.
